15th November 2003 |
|  * |  * | Progress
has been made in marking out and digging up the tarmac where the
footings for the new building will be sited.
| A large pile drill/crane
arrived on site last night which can be seen in the centre right of the
second photo above. |
3rd December 2003 |
|  * |  * | The
footings have now been dug and steel mesh reinforcing frames have been
laid in the trenches. Form work for the concrete to be poured into has
also been constructed around the mesh. |

15th December 2003 |

a little under a fortnight, the preparations for the footings were
completed, the concrete poured and the steel frame of the building
started. |

31st December 2003 |
|  * |  * | The
site stands idle during the Christmas and New Year break, but already
the final outline structure and the overall height of the new 3 storey
building can be seen.
| The
"flat" gable end seen in the right hand photo is where the remainder of
the retail and will attach and turn a right angle back along the High
